Job summary

Chubb in Sydney seeks a role focused on delivering department, branch and corporate goals across profit, growth, service and strong producer and client relationships.

The role involves driving new business, pricing and retention for the portfolio, while maintaining underwriting standards and compliance. You will collaborate with brokers, pursue business development targets and contribute to cross‑functional initiatives within a dynamic insurance environment.

Qualifications

• Strong underwriting judgement.
• Technical knowledge of pricing, alternative risk transfer and reserve development.
• Working knowledge of key accounts in the Branch.
• Understanding of underwriting appetites across other departments and related account relationships.
• Ability to tailor coverage and policy wording where needed.
• Awareness of competitor products and services.
• Strong negotiation skills to achieve constructive business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business, rate and retention outcomes for the assigned portfolio to support revenue and profit goals.
• Maintain high underwriting, compliance and file documentation standards and decide on new business, renewals and endorsements within authority.
• Deliver producer targets and support business development across SBU/product lines and broker segments; manage the sales pipeline.
• Build and maintain broker and key account relationships; promote Chubb’s appetite and growth goals.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the business to support teamwork and drive improvement.
