Job summary

Mercure Perth is seeking a Full Time Night Manager to oversee overnight operations, ensuring guest satisfaction and security. You will manage the hotel in the GM's absence, complete revenue audits, collate reports, and provide efficient guest services including check-in/out and information provision.

Gain exposure to finance reconciliation, cashiering accuracy, and cross‑functional support with Front Office and General Management.

Qualifications

• Overnight hotel experience is desirable.
• Ability to manage operations in GM's absence.
• Strong cash handling and audit/reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overnight operations in the absence of the GM.
• Complete daily revenue audits and postings with adjustments as needed.
• Prepare finance and management reports.
• Deliver efficient guest services for check-in/out and inquiries.
• Maintain guest accounts and accurate cashiering.
• Enforce security procedures for guest safety and confidentiality.
• Uphold hotel professionalism and detail orientation.
• Assist Front Office and General Managers with checks and balances.
• Support Distrikt Cafe service and restaurant/bar operations when required.

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Full Time Night Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient running of Mercure Perth on Hay's overnight operation, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction as well as the safety and security of the property.

What will you be doing?

• Managing the hotel overnight in the absence of the General Manager
• Complete audits of daily revenue and postings, making adjustments where needed
• Collate paperwork and reports for finance and management
• Provide efficient guest services including check in/out, request handling and providing hotel information
• Settle and maintain guest accounts, ensuring cashiering is accurate
• Maintain strict security procedures to ensure guest confidentiality and safety
• Maintain the hotels standard of professionalism
• Be analytical and possess an eye for detail
• Assist the Front Office Manager and General Manager in a variety of check and balance procedures
• Assist with food & drink service in Distrikt Cafe and help out when needed in the restaurant and bar
