Job summary

Mercure Perth on Hay's overnight operation needs a Full Time Night Manager to ensure the smooth and secure night shift, maximise guest satisfaction and uphold safety across the property as part of the Accor family.

You will manage overnight in the General Manager’s absence, perform revenue and postings audits, collate reports for finance, and supervise guest check-in/out, cashiering and guest services. Assistance with DistriktCafe and restaurant/bar duties is also required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hotel overnight operations in the absence of the General Manager.
• Complete audits of daily revenue and postings; adjust as needed.
• Prepare reports for finance and management.
• Provide efficient guest services including check-in/out and guest information.
• Settle guest accounts with accurate cashiering.
• Maintain security procedures to protect guest confidentiality and safety.
• Uphold Accor standards of professionalism.
• Support Front Office Manager and General Manager with checks and balance procedures.
• Assist with food & drink service in DistrictCafe and related restaurant/bar duties.

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Full Time Night Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient running of Mercure Perth on Hay's overnight operation, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction as well as the safety and security of the property.

What will you be doing?

• Managing the hotel overnight in the absence of theGeneral Manager
• Complete audits of daily revenue and postings, making adjustments where needed
• Collate paperwork and reports for finance and management
• Provide efficient guest services including check in/out, request handling and providing hotel information
• Settle and maintain guest accounts, ensuring cashiering is accurate
• Maintain strict security procedures to ensure guest confidentiality and safety
• Maintain the hotels standard of professionalism
• Be analytical and possess an eye for detail
• Assist the Front Office Manager and General Manager in a variety of check and balance procedures
• Assist with food & drink service in DistriktCafe and help out when needed in the restaurant and bar

Qualifications

Your skills and experience include:

• Guest obsessed focus with the ability to flex in a fast paced and ever changing environment
• Ability to navigate through change and provide quick thinking solutions should problems arise
• Clear and confident communication skills – both written and verbal
• Attention to detail and a keen eye for numbersKnowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office and Opera.
• RSA and First Aid/CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
• Unrestricted valid Australian working rights and the availability to work38 hours per week flexibly
