Job summary

Accor's Mercure Perth on Hay's overnight operation is seeking an energetic Full Time Night Manager to ensure the smooth night-time running and guest satisfaction. You will oversee overnight shift in the absence of the GM, conduct revenue audits, and support front desk operations.

You will also handle guest accounts, maintain security, and collaborate with the DistriktCafe team, contributing to a high standard of service and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Guest-focused attitude with ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Experience with cash handling and cashiering procedures.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Office apps and Opera hotel system.
• RSA and First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Australian working rights and ability to work 38 hours/week.

Responsibilities

• Manage the hotel overnight in the absence of the General Manager.
• Audit daily revenue and postings; adjust as needed.
• Collate paperwork and reports for finance/management.
• Provide efficient guest services: check-in/out, requests, information.
• Settle and maintain guest accounts; ensure cashiering accuracy.
• Maintain security procedures for guest confidentiality and safety.
• Uphold the hotel's standard of professionalism.
• Be analytical and have an eye for detail.
• Assist Front Office Manager/General Manager with checks and balances.
• Assist with food & beverage service in DistriktCafe and restaurant/bar support.

What will you be doing?

• Managing the hotel overnight in the absence of theGeneral Manager
• Complete audits of daily revenue and postings, making adjustments where needed
• Collate paperwork and reports for finance and management
• Provide efficient guest services including check in/out, request handling and providing hotel information
• Settle and maintain guest accounts, ensuring cashiering is accurate
• Maintain strict security procedures to ensure guest confidentiality and safety
• Maintain the hotels standard of professionalism
• Be analytical and possess an eye for detail
• Assist the Front Office Manager and General Manager in a variety of check and balance procedures
• Assist with food & drink service in DistriktCafe and help out when needed in the restaurant and bar

Qualifications

Your skills and experience include:

• Guest obsessed focus with the ability to flex in a fast paced and ever changing environment
• Ability to navigate through change and provide quick thinking solutions should problems arise
• Clear and confident communication skills – both written and verbal
• Attention to detail and a keen eye for numbers
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office and Opera.
• RSA and First Aid/CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
• Unrestricted valid Australian working rights and the availability to work38 hours per week flexibly
