Job summary

Reserve Bank of Australia is seeking a Network DevOps Engineer to modernise enterprise networks by combining network engineering, automation, DevOps and cyber security. The role focuses on SDN, Network as Code, IaC, vulnerability management and security hardening.

You will engineer LAN/WAN, develop network automation with Python and Ansible, apply IaC/Network as Code, automate compliance and remediation, and work with Cyber Security to remediate vulnerabilities in a hybrid, collaborative

Qualifications

• Strong enterprise Network Engineering experience with automation focus.
• Experience with LAN/WAN, data centre, and network security.
• Proficient in Python, Ansible and REST APIs for network automation.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and Network as Code.
• Experience in vulnerability remediation and network hardening.
• Ability to collaborate with security, operations and delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and support LAN, WAN, data centre, network security and cloud-connected infrastructure.
• Develop network automation using Python and Ansible.
• Apply IaC and Network as Code with Git and CI/CD.
• Automate configuration management, compliance validation and remediation.
• Implement and improve network hardening standards and baselines.
• Identify drift and improve automated compliance validation.
• Collaborate with Cyber Security to remediate vulnerabilities.
• Support incident response and change control for complex networks.
• Integrate networking platforms with enterprise tooling (ServiceNow, CMDB, Tenable, Defender).
• Contribute to designs, automation code, implementation plans and documentation.
