Job summary

Reserve Bank of Australia seeks a Network DevOps Engineer to modernise enterprise networks with automation, DevOps and cyber security. You will work across advanced networking tech, building automated, secure and repeatable engineering practices.

Responsibilities include designing and supporting LAN/WAN, data centres, and cloud-connected infrastructure; developing automation with Python and Ansible; applying IaC/NetIaC, and aligning with security baselines and vulnerability remediation

Qualifications

Enterprise networking experience with strong automation mindset.
Skilled in Python, Ansible and REST APIs for network automation.
Experience with Git, CI/CD, IaC and NetIaC practices.
Knowledge of network hardening, vulnerability remediation and compliance.

Responsibilities

Engineer and support LAN, WAN, data centre, network security and cloud‑connected infra.
Develop network automation using Python, Ansible and REST APIs.
Apply IaC and NetIaC using Git and CI/CD practices.
Automate configuration management, compliance validation and vulnerability remediation.
Improve network hardening standards and security baselines.
Identify drift and improve automated compliance validation.
Collaborate with Cyber Security to assess and remediate vulnerabilities.
Support response to critical and emerging network vulnerabilities.
Contribute to network designs, automation code, implementation plans and docs.
Support incidents, problem management and controlled production changes.
Integrate network platforms with enterprise tooling (ServiceNow/CMDB, Tenable, Defender).
