Job summary

Interact Australia is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist clients under their NDIS plans, helping them achieve personal goals through community participation, skill building, and everyday supports.

Applicants must have Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening, plus an understanding of NDIS principles. A driver’s licence and willingness to transport clients may be required.

Qualifications

• Working with Children Check
• NDIS Worker Screening
• Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• An understanding of NDIS and a commitment to its principles

Responsibilities

• Work autonomously to provide appropriate levels of support to maintain and improve the client’s level of independence, including community participation, skill building, vocational preparation and relationship building.
• Respond to the client’s needs and collaborate positively with their families, support people and others in their lives.
• Keep accurate and complete records of activities via progress notes
• Work within the NDS Code of Conduct
• Provide Community access and Domestic support
