Job summary

Personalised Care is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to enhance the lives of participants within the NDIS community. The role involves delivering one-on-one support, promoting safety, wellbeing and independence for individuals with disabilities.

Multiple shifts available (Full time, Part time, Casual, Contractors). Applicants with cultural understanding and Arabic language skills are encouraged, though not essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Support Worker is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to build rapport with participants and families.
• Compassion, empathy and patience needed to provide person-centered care, respecting each individual's needs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate community access and engagement for disabled participants, enabling independence.
• Provide one-on-one support to participants, promoting safety and wellbeing.
• Assist participants in developing life skills, social connections and community resource access.
• Implement individualised support plans tailored to each participant's goals.
• Encourage participants to pursue interests, hobbies and personal development opportunities.
• Foster a nurturing, inclusive environment and promote independence and self-advocacy.
• Document participant progress and maintain accurate records.
