Job summary

Empowered Living Services is seeking an NDIS support worker to provide personalised care for clients at home and in the community. This part-time role offers flexible shifts with the option of permanent full-time work if desired.

You will work with a compassionate team, implement individualised support plans, and maintain accurate records while collaborating with health professionals to promote independence and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Disability, Aged Care, or Community Services preferred.
• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or complex needs is essential.
• Minimum 1 year experience providing support to individuals with disabilities or complex needs is required.
• Current First Aid certification and a valid driver's licence.
• Australian work rights required; NDIS Worker Check and Working with Children Check.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

About you

• Relevant Certificate III or IV qualification in Disability, Aged Care, or Community Services preferred
• Previous experience providing support to individuals with disabilities or complex needs is essential
• Minimum of 1 year experience providing support to individuals with disabilities or complex needs is required
• Ability to manage Medication Assistance with self care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
• Empathetic, patient, and adaptable approach to working with diverse client needs
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team
• Proficient in documentation and report writing
• Current First Aid certification and a valid driver's licence
• Australian work rights are required for this position
• Both NDIS Worker Check and Working with Children Check are required
• Own vehicle available for all shifts and fully insured
• Available for shifts outlined in the screening questionnaire
