Job summary

Interact Australia is seeking dedicated community support workers based in Vinifera, VIC, to empower clients under their NDIS plans. The role focuses on promoting independence, social participation and practical skills through person-centered support.

Applicants should have experience in personal care, manual handling, continence and medication prompting, plus NDIS Worker Screening and Working with Children Checks. A driver’s licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with personal care support for people with disability.
• Experience with manual handling and ceiling hoist transfers.
• Experience with continence care including catheter and bowel care.
• Experience with medication prompting and administration oversight.
• Must have Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening.
• Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide autonomous support to maintain and improve client independence.
• Support community participation, skill building and relationship development.
• Respond to client needs and coordinate with families and carers.
• Keep accurate progress notes and comply with NDIS Code of Conduct.
