Job summary

Amazon Web Services Australia Pty Ltd in Canberra is seeking a Principal Account Executive for the National Security team. You will be the primary commercial relationship owner for key national security accounts, driving cloud adoption, managing procurement cycles, and building trusted advisor relationships with senior government stakeholders.

Qualifications

7+ years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience.
Experience managing executive customer relationships and key business stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Experience managing complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles with government or large enterprise customers.
Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic account plans for national security customers to drive AWS cloud adoption and revenue growth
Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with C-suite and senior government stakeholders
Partner with Solutions Architecture and specialist teams to design and deliver cloud solutions for mission‑critical environments
Navigate complex government procurement processes and manage multi‑year deal cycles
Collaborate with AWS Professional Services to implement solutions and packaged offerings
Represent AWS at industry events and senior government forums
Drive pipeline generation and forecast accuracy across your account portfolio
