Job summary

Certis Security Australia is seeking a National Operations Team Leader to oversee the National Operations Centre's daily deployments and patrol response across the network. The role is a hands-on leadership position with a night roster, including weekends and public holidays, demanding strong coordination and accountability.

You will mentor a team, manage competing priorities, and ensure operations are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with client expectations and compliance

Qualifications

• Current NSW Security Licence 1A (Unarmed Guarding) and 1E (Monitoring Centre Operator).
• Certificate II in Security Operations and leadership/management qualifications.
• Experience leading or supervising a team in security/operations.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact and escalation for operational matters.
• Oversee daily deployments and patrol response functions.
• Experience in workforce planning and rostering in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure team performance aligns with KPIs, contractual obligations, and legislative requirements.
• Mentor and develop team members to drive capability and performance.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (including IT) to resolve system issues.
• Manage incidents with accurate, timely reporting and documentation.
• Maintain a strong customer service focus across interactions.
• Support training, coaching and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with WHS and operational standards.

Job Impact

As a National Operations Team Leader, you will play a key leadership role within the National Operations Centre (NOC), overseeing daily deployments and patrol response activity across the network.

Your leadership will directly impact operational performance, team capability, and service delivery—ensuring incidents are managed effectively, risks are minimised, and frontline teams are fully supported.

About the Role

This is a fast-paced, hands-on leadership position where you will coordinate daily operations while supporting and mentoring a team in a high-pressure environment.

You’ll act as a central escalation point, manage competing priorities, and ensure all operational activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with compliance and client expectations.

Contract: Permanent Full Time

Shifts: permanent night roster (including weekends and public holidays)

Key Responsibilities

Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

• Act as the first point of contact and escalation for operational matters
• Oversee daily deployment and patrol response functions
• Experience in workforce planning and employee rostering within a fast-paced environment
• Ensure team performance aligns with KPIs, contractual obligations, and legislative requirements
• Support, mentor and develop team members to drive capability and performance
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (including IT) to resolve system issues
• Manage incidents and ensure accurate, timely reporting and documentation
• Maintain a strong customer service focus across all interactions
• Support training, coaching and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and operational standards

About You

• Current NSW Security Licence 1A (Unarmed Guarding) and 1E (Monitoring Centre Operator)
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Certificate II in Security Operations
• Certificate in Leadership and Management
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an operations or rostering environment
• Previous experience leading or supervising a team
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Excellent organisation and reporting capability
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
• Certificate IV in Security & Risk Management
• Experience within a manpower or security services provider
