Job summary

Protecta Group is seeking a seasoned National Operations Manager to lead branch and warehouse operations across Australia. You will drive safety, efficiency and cost performance while coaching site leaders and improving stock management.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, ERP/WMS proficiency and the ability to travel nationally to support branches. This is a full-time, on-site position within a family-owned Australian business focused on growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operations across multiple sites, including warehouses and distribution.
• Proven track record coaching managers and improving operational performance.
• Sound knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, freight and workplace safety.
• Strong commercial judgement with budget review experience and data-driven decisions.
• Ability to implement consistent processes while adapting to branch needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead national branch and warehouse operations, accountable for safety, service, efficiency and cost performance.
• Coach and support branch leaders, set clear expectations and build capability.
• Oversee receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch and returns with consistent standards.
• Improve inventory accuracy via stocktakes, cycle counts and stock controls.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Sales to improve stock availability and branch transfers.
• Manage freight and carrier performance to ensure reliable deliveries and cost control.
• Resolve fulfilment issues with Sales and Customer Service to enhance customer experience.
• Oversee budgets, staffing, facilities and equipment needs.
• Drive safe work practices, risk management and incident follow-ups.
• Utilize operational data to identify issues and deliver improvements across systems.
