Job summary

Protecta Group is seeking an experienced Branch Operations Manager to lead the Canning Vale team and support growth in WA. You will oversee warehouse operations, manage customer service at the Perth branch, and provide internal sales support to our WA sales representative.

This role combines day-to-day operational leadership with direct customer contact; ideal for someone who enjoys leading a team while actively running the branch. Full-time, Monday to Friday in Perth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in branch operations or operations management within product-based, distribution, or construction-related environments.
• Experience leading or overseeing a warehouse operations team.
• Strong customer service and internal sales experience, including managing enquiries, quotes and orders.
• Hands-on leadership style with ability to coach and motivate teams.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills; able to manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication with customers, employees and national stakeholders.
• Experience using ERP systems; NetSuite is highly regarded; proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing, dispatch and order fulfilment.
• Lead, coach and support the warehouse team; promote accountability and a strong branch culture.
• Manage Perth branch customer service via phone, email and trade counter; provide internal sales support.
• Prepare quotes, process orders and meet customer requirements.
• Build strong customer relationships and maintain high service standards.
• Coordinate customer priorities with warehouse activities to ensure timely, accurate orders.
• Maintain on-floor presence; lead by example during peak periods.
• Drive branch KPIs across safety, service levels, order fulfilment and efficiency.
• Escalate operational and customer matters and resolve issues proactively.
• Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, Finance and national teams to support customers and business goals.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
• Ensure WHS compliance and maintain a safe, organised workplace.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced, hands-on Branch Operations Manager to lead our small team in Canning Vale and support Protecta's continued growth in WA.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will oversee the warehouse operations team and take primary responsibility for customer service at the Perth branch. As the main customer service contact, you'll manage customer enquiries, quotes, orders and trade counter service, while providing internal sales support to our WA sales representative.

This role combines day-to-day operational leadership with direct customer contact, suited to someone who enjoys leading a team while staying actively involved in the running of the branch.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, dispatch and order fulfilment.
• Lead, coach and support the warehouse operations team, promoting accountability, engagement and a strong branch culture.
• Take primary responsibility for customer service within the Perth branch, managing enquiries by phone, email and at the trade counter.
• Prepare quotes, process orders and provide internal sales support to meet customer requirements.
• Build strong customer relationships and ensure consistently high service standards.
• Coordinate customer priorities with warehouse activities to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
• Maintain a strong on-floor presence, leading by example and supporting the team during peak periods.
• Drive branch KPIs across safety, service levels, order fulfilment, operational efficiency and team performance.
• Act as the escalation point for operational and customer matters, resolving issues proactively and professionally.
• Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, Finance and other national teams to support customers and broader business objectives.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and customer experience.
• Ensure compliance with WHS requirements and Protecta policies, maintaining a safe and organised workplace.

About You

You are a capable and practical operations leader who enjoys taking ownership and being actively involved in the day-to-day running of a branch.

You are comfortable leading a warehouse team while personally managing customer enquiries and orders. You understand that strong operational performance and excellent customer service go hand in hand.

You will also bring:

• Proven experience in branch operations or operations management, ideally within a product-based, distribution or construction-related environment.
• Experience leading or overseeing a warehouse operations team.
• Strong customer service and internal sales experience, including managing enquiries, quotes and orders.
• A hands-on leadership style and willingness to support across all areas of the branch.
• Proven ability to coach, develop and motivate operational team members.
• A genuine customer focus and the ability to build strong working relationships.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, employees and national stakeholders.
• Experience using ERP systems, with NetSuite highly regarded, along with confidence using Microsoft Office.
