Job summary

American Express is seeking a Corporate National Relationship Manager for a 12 month FTC in Sydney, Australia. The role focuses on driving growth within an established portfolio of Corporate Card Clients through consultative selling and strategic account management.

You will manage high-level client relationships, conduct needs assessments, and create client strategies to embed American Express products and digital tools while targeting charge volume growth across multiple industries.

Qualifications

• Prior relationship management and consultative sales experience.
• Ability to influence and grow the business through value-added conversations.
• Strategic account management skills.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to have commercial conversations on working capital and cash flow.
• Experience dealing with C-level executives.
• High degree of commercial acumen and strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Corporate card knowledge an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Retain and expand the existing relationship with a defined portfolio across multiple industries; manage approximately 250 Corporate Card Clients.
• Achieve an annual charge volume and growth targets.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction; reduce attrition.
• Create wining client strategies and internal account plans, client business plans and account reviews.
• Conduct needs assessments to embed additional American Express products & Digital tools; synthesize information from multiple sources to uncover growth opportunities.
• Develop account plans, identify risk factors and protect the portfolio against charge volume loss.
