Job summary

Bega Group is seeking a National Business Manager to lead Independent Grocery partnerships with Metcash across Australia. The role reports to the Head of Independent Grocery and drives growth in key warehouse categories including yoghurt, spreads, juice and cheese.

You will build strong relationships with decision-makers, own Joint Business Plans, and lead a team of four to deliver forecast accuracy, promotional execution and in-store excellence across the network.

Qualifications

• Proven FMCG sales and account management experience within grocery.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing trade investment, forecasting and performance tracking.
• Experience leading and developing teams at state or national level, with a passion for coaching and growing people.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Independent Grocery team as National Business Manager on a 12-month fixed term contract. Reporting nationally to the Head of Independent Grocery, you will be responsible for driving the growth of key warehouse categories including yoghurt, spreads, juice and cheese across the independent grocery network through our strategic partnership with Metcash.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer decision-makers at both state and regional levels, driving mutually beneficial growth outcomes
• Own and execute Joint Business Plans, promotional strategies and commercial performance initiatives with Metcash
• Deliver best-in-class in-store outcomes through effective trade investment, planogram optimisation and secondary display opportunities
• Partner closely with field teams to ensure promotional programs, merchandising standards and sales initiatives are effectively communicated and executed
• Lead, coach and develop a team of four direct reports while driving forecasting, performance tracking and gap closure initiatives to achieve business objectives

About You

• Proven FMCG sales and account management experience, ideally within grocery, with a strong track record of delivering commercial results.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing trade investment, forecasting and business performance
• Experience leading and developing teams at either a state or national level, with a passion for coaching and growing people
• Highly developed relationship-building, influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively across internal and external stakeholders
• Tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline or equivalent sales leadership experience, combined with strong planning, analytical and execution capabilities
