Job summary

Succession Partners Pty Ltd in Brisbane is seeking an experienced General Insurance Claims professional to join our in-house team. You will own claims from notification through assessment, negotiate, and settle complex files, with a focus on Commercial Property and Liability.

The role requires at least five years of GI claims experience, strong technical knowledge of policy coverage and settlement, excellent communication, and a proactive, broker‑facing approach.

Qualifications

• Five years of general insurance claims experience.
• Strong technical experience across Commercial Property and Liability claims.
• Solid knowledge of policy coverage, exclusions, claims assessment and settlement.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on resolution and broker service.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of claims from notification through to assessment, negotiation and settlement.
• Assess complex coverage issues and interpret policy wordings.
• Drive timely, fair resolutions while minimising claims leakage.
• Build strong relationships with brokers, insureds, assessors, loss adjusters and other stakeholders.
• Ensure claims are managed in line with policy requirements and regulations.
• Contribute to improving claims processes as the in-house function develops.
