Job summary

Qualifications

• Extensive Property or Casualty Claims experience in (re)insurance and knowledge of contract wordings.
• Legal qualifications or background in Law are advantageous for complex claims practice.
• Experience managing complex claims and litigation with insurance law awareness.
• Ability to identify risks and implement effective claims strategies.
• Strong communication and senior stakeholder engagement abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end claims process ensuring adherence to standards.
• Provide expert technical advice on large or complex claims with stakeholders.
• Lead management of litigation, coordinating with legal counsel.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in Australia and NZ.
• Present claims insights at internal meetings to support business goals.
• Build relationships with clients and external service providers.
