Job summary

Green by Nature in Canberra is seeking experienced garden maintenance staff to join our award-winning landscape team. You will maintain outdoor spaces, operate a range of mowing equipment, and help deliver high-quality green spaces.

You should be reliable, punctual, and able to work unsupervised. White Card and Driver's license, WWVP, and National Police Check are preferred. We offer a supportive culture and opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience with mowing equipment and machinery.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work unsupervised.
• White Card and Driver's license are required/preferred.
• WWVP and National Police Check are required/preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain gardens and mowing across parks and open spaces.
• Operate machinery including whipper snippers, edgers, push and zero-turn mowers.
• Plan daily tasks according to work instructions and plans.
• Conduct machinery checks and report faults or repairs.
• Ensure work is carried out to a high standard.
• Adhere to safe work practices.

What's involved

• You will be an experienced in garden maintenace and mowing.
• Work alongside the team operating machinery including whipper snippers, Atom edgers, push mowers, zero turn, 400D across parks and open spaces
• Plan and prepare daily tasks according to work instructions, plans and specifications
• Conduct machinery checks and report any faults or repair requirements
• Ensure work is carried out to a consistently high standard
• Adhere to safe work practices
