ZJ Motel Management Ltd is seeking an experienced Motel Manager to lead daily operations of a regional NSW property. This hands-on role requires independence, reliability, and a strong focus on guest service and presentation.

You will oversee reservations, check-ins, housekeeping coordination, rate monitoring, and OTA channel management, with support from ownership while working autonomously.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of independent motel management experience.
• Knowledge of OTA platforms such as Booking.com and Expedia.
• Strong understanding of motel operations and guest service.
• Ability to manage housekeeping coordination and daily operations.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Motel Manager to join our growing accommodation business in regional NSW.

About the Role

This is a hands‑on management position suited to someone who is confident in independently operating a motel on a day‑to‑day basis. The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of motel operations, guest service, staff coordination, and property presentation.

You will be supported by ownership, but must be capable of managing the business independently and professionally.

• Minimum 12 months of independent motel management experience
• Non-citizens or non-permanent residents must have a valid Australian work visa with a minimum of 12 months remaining on the visa. Strong understanding of motel operations and guest service
• Knowledge of OTA platforms such as Booking.com and Expedia
• Full administration capabilities required for OTA platforms including rate management, inventory control, and promotional campaign setup
• Positive attitude and strong attention to detail
• Experience with motel booking systems / channel managers
• Specific experience with RMS or Little Hotelier booking systems and channel management platforms required
• Ability to manage housekeeping coordination and daily operations
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
• Reliable, organised, and able to work autonomously

Preferred Qualities

• Basic maintenance or troubleshooting ability
• Experience managing motel restaurant
• Driving skill
• Multiple languages is preferred
