Job summary

Fortunext holdings pty Ltd is seeking a Motel Operations Manager to oversee the daily running of the property, lead a professional team, and ensure a high standard of guest service.

You will manage budgets, supervise staff, ensure legal and safety compliance, coordinate bookings, and work with housekeeping and front office to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Salary range: $80,000–$85,000 per year. Visa sponsorship not offered.

Qualifications

• Requires AQF Associate Degree or higher in Hotel/Motel Management.
• 3 years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications.
• Proven track record of team leadership and operational success.

Your duties will include but not limited to:

Overseeing the daily operation of the motel.

Leading, supervising, and developing staff to foster a productive and professional workplace culture, including training, performance monitoring, and ongoing support.

Ensuring compliance with all applicable legal, health, and safety requirements, as well as internal policies and operational procedures.

Managing financial aspects of the business, including budgeting, monitoring expenditures, and implementing strategies to optimise revenue and occupancy rates.

Coordinating the upkeep and presentation of the property, maintaining cleanliness and ensuring facilities meet established standards.

Handling guest relations with professionalism, including addressing enquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a consistently positive customer experience.

Overseeing booking processes and accommodation availability through effective use of property management and reservation systems.

Facilitating communication between departments (including housekeeping and front office operations) to ensure seamless daily function.

Our successful candidate will have the followings

• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Hotel/Motel Management

Work hours will be 5 days a week 9:00 am to 5:00pm with occasional requirements outsidestandard hours for special events.
