Job summary

Randstad Pty is seeking a Systems Support Engineer to own system performance and customer success across mission-critical environments. You will manage deep-dive troubleshooting, audits, and change requests while coordinating with global teams to drive improvements.

The role requires 5+ years in hardware/software support, strong VCS knowledge, Linux/VMware, Cisco networking, and database experience. Domestic and international travel will be involved, with flexible hours for urgent issues.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Communications, Software, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
5+ years in comprehensive hardware and software support, preferably in mission-critical or high-availability environments.
Strong understanding of Voice Communication Systems (VCS) and telecommunications basics.
Experience with Linux (RedHat), VMware/ESXi, Cisco networking, SIP/RTP, and database tech like PostgreSQL, MS SQL or Oracle.

Responsibilities

Serve as the principal point of contact across technical service operations, swiftly resolving inquiries and issue reports within SLA.
perform deep-dive analysis, fault isolation, and remediation for complex software/hardware issues in critical environments.
Architect, schedule, and implement complex change requests and system expansions.
Execute rigorous verification protocols in labs and client sites, leading site acceptance procedures.
Collaborate with European product management and R&D to address escalated issues and drive improvements.
Carry out operational audits to ensure peak system efficiency and regulatory adherence.
