Job summary

Logicalis Australia Pty Ltd in Australia is seeking a Senior L3 Systems Engineer to join a global operator of mission-critical digital infrastructure. Sydney or Melbourne, 12-month fixed-term contract, on-site role.

You will join a highly skilled Infrastructure Support Services team responsible for maintaining and improving the core platforms that underlie demanding technology environments, including cloud platforms and AI-driven workloads.

Qualifications

• Experience as Level 3 escalation point for critical incidents.
• Experience with VMware enterprise infrastructure ecosystems.
• Ability to participate in a 24x7 on-call roster.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Level 3 escalation point for critical infrastructure incidents.
• Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis and service restoration for Priority 1 and Priority 2 incidents.
• Support large-scale VMware and enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Administer and optimise compute, storage, backup and identity platforms.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call roster supporting mission-critical services.
• Maintain infrastructure security through patching, remediation and hardening activities.
• Support infrastructure lifecycle management including upgrades, migrations and technology refresh initiatives.
• Drive automation, monitoring and operational improvement initiatives.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation, standards and operational runbooks.
• Work closely with vendors, project teams and operational stakeholders to deliver resilient infrastructure services.

This is not a traditional support role. You'll be joining a highly skilled Infrastructure Support Services team responsible for maintaining and improving the core platforms that underpin some of the most demanding technology environments in the world. The role combines advanced operational support, technical leadership, major incident management and continual service improvement across a modern enterprise infrastructure stack.
