Job summary

Redpath Mining Inc. is seeking an experienced Mining Superintendent to lead underground operations at the Federation Mine in Australia. This senior role oversees production, safety, and workforce performance on a major underground development project.

The successful candidate will manage multiple crews, liaise with client representatives, and drive a strong safety culture while coordinating schedules with development and production plans.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Superintendent or senior leader in mining.
• Strong leadership, communication and team management skills.
• Experience managing safety and operational performance.
• Understanding of underground mining methods, equipment and systems.
• Ability to interpret mine plans and schedules.
• Statutory qualifications (highly regarded).
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to work on a rotational roster (2/2).

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to underground mining teams.

• Ensure compliance with site safety systems, statutory requirements and standards.

Role Overview

Redpath is seeking an experienced Mining Superintendent to lead underground operations at the Federation Mine. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing production, safety, and workforce performance on a major underground development project.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to underground mining teams
• Oversee daily operations to ensure production targets are achieved safely and efficiently
• Manage supervisors, operators, and contractors across multiple crews
• Ensure compliance with site safety systems, statutory requirements, and company standards
• Monitor and improve operational performance, productivity, and cost control
• Coordinate mine schedules in line with development and production plans
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actionsMentor and develop supervisors and emerging leaders

• Drive a strong safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

• Previous experience in a Superintendent or senior leadership role
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
• Demonstrated experience managing safety and operational performance'
• Sound understanding of underground mining methods, equipment, and systemsAbility to interpret and implement mine plans and schedules
• Statutory qualifications (highly regarded depending on site requirements)
• Valid driver’s licence
• Ability to work on a rotational roster (2/2 or as required)
