Job summary

Redpath Australia is seeking an experienced Loader Operator to support underground mine development at the Federation Mine in New South Wales. You will operate LHDs, manage ore movement and maintain strict safety standards on long shifts in remote locations.

This role requires a strong focus on procedure adherence, teamwork with mining crews, and the ability to perform in challenging underground environments.

Qualifications

• Underground LHD experience preferred.
• Inductions (G1/G2/G8) or equivalent.
• First Aid/CPR certification required.
• Manual Driver's Licence essential.
• Strong safety and compliance focus.
• Capable of long shifts in remote locations.

Redpath Australia is seeking experienced Loader Operator to join our operations at the Federation Mine in New South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a long-term project with a respected mining contractor while contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of underground mine development activities.

About The Role

As a Loader Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of underground load haul dump (LHD) equipment to support mine development and production activities.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Operate underground loaders (LHDs) safely and efficiently
• Muck development and production headings
• Transport and manage ore and waste material underground
• Conduct pre-start inspections and equipment checks
• Maintain production targets while adhering to safety standards
• Identify and report hazards, incidents and equipment defects
• Work collaboratively with mining crews and supervisors
• Maintain high housekeeping and operational standards

Qualifications

About You

• Previous underground shotcrete experience operating Jacon, Normet Spraymec, or similar equipment.
• Experience operating agitator trucks, batch plants, and related underground mining machinery.
• Current G1/G2/G8 or equivalent underground mining inductions (highly regarded).
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Valid Manual Driver's Licence.
• Strong focus on safety and compliance within underground mining environments.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to follow procedures accurately.
• Physically capable of meeting the demands of an underground mining role, including 12-hour shifts in remote locations.
• Motivated, reliable, and committed to continuous improvement and high-quality work standards.
