REDPATH MINING seeks a Shift Supervisor for Lake Cowal, NSW. You will lead underground crews, drive safe production and ensure compliance with plans and regulations. The role reports to the Underground Production Superintendent and operates on a 2/2 roster.

You will foster a strong safety culture, coordinate resources, and develop team capability while maintaining high standards of operational excellence on site.

Responsibilities

About the Role Reporting to the Underground Production Superintendent, the Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading underground crews to achieve production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence. You will provide frontline leadership, oversee daily mining activities, coordinate resources, and ensure work is completed in accordance with site plans and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise underground mining crews during shift operations.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all activities.
• Ensure production and development targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate personnel, equipment, and materials to optimise shift performance.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings, workplace inspections, and risk assessments.
• Monitor compliance with site procedures, mining regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Mentor and develop team members to support performance and capability growth.
• Investigate incidents, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain accurate shift reports and operational records.

Qualifications

• Significant underground mining experience, including supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and people management capabilities.

• Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership and continuous improvement.
• Sound understanding of underground mining methods and equipment.
• Current NSW statutory qualifications relevant to the role ESSENTIAL
• Current manual driver's license
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
