Job summary

Redpath Mining Inc. is seeking an experienced Mining Superintendent to lead underground operations at Federation Mine. This senior role oversees production, safety and workforce performance on a major underground development project with FIFO/DIDO options.

The role requires strong leadership, a track record in managing safety and operational performance, and the ability to interpret mine plans and schedules. A valid driver’s license is required, and a 2/2 roster or as needed may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Superintendent or senior leadership role.
• Strong leadership, communication and team management skills.
• Experience managing safety and operational performance.
• Sound understanding of underground mining methods, equipment and systems.
• Ability to interpret and implement mine plans and schedules.
• Statutory qualifications (highly regarded depending on site requirements).
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to work on a rotational roster (2/2 or as required).

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to underground mining teams.
• Oversee daily operations to ensure production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
• Manage supervisors, operators, and contractors across multiple crews.
• Ensure compliance with site safety systems, statutory requirements, and company standards.
• Monitor and improve operational performance, productivity, and cost control.
• Coordinate mine schedules in line with development and production plans.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Mentor and develop supervisors and emerging leaders.
• Liaise with client representatives and senior management.
• Drive a strong safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives.

Role Overview
