Redpath Mining at Appin Mine, NSW, is seeking an Engineering Superintendent to lead engineering and maintenance at the underground operation.

Reporting to site leadership, you will drive asset reliability, maintenance strategy, and continuous improvement while ensuring safety and compliance across all maintenance activities. FIFO/DIDO options apply, roster 8/6.

• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, site standards, and company procedures
• Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity
• Support capital projects, infrastructure upgrades, and operational initiatives
• Lead investigations into equipment failures and implement corrective actions
• Foster a strong safety culture and mentor maintenance leaders and supervisors

Reporting to senior site leadership, this role is responsible for driving equipment reliability, asset performance, maintenance strategy, and continuous improvement across underground operations.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mining, or related Engineering discipline
• Significant experience in maintenance and engineering leadership within underground mining
• Proven experience managing mobile and fixed plant performance
• Strong understanding of asset management and reliability principles
• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
• Experience managing budgets, contractors, and major maintenance programs
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
• Current driver's licence
