Job summary

BHP is seeking a Site Systems Specialist to support safe and efficient operations at Peak Downs Mine on a Monday to Friday roster. Reporting to the Superintendent Site Systems, you will help teams build confidence in our systems and technology.

Key duties include governing the SHMS requirements, providing technical support for Mine Record and Document Management, facilitating risk assessments, and delivering training programs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Document Management Processes.
• Experience in risk management and governance of SHMS.
• Understanding of Queensland Coal Mining Safety and Health Act and standards.
• Balance business needs with practical solutions and problem-solving.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills with attention to detail.
• Well-developed organisational skills with competing priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage at all levels.
• Ability to analyse data and conduct audits.
• Confidence with public speaking and facilitation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and govern SHMS requirements.
• Provide technical support for Mine Record and Document Management.
• Facilitate risk assessments and support SHMS document development.
• Assist risk and control owners to implement global standards.
• Design, deliver and evaluate training programs using various techniques.
