Job summary

BHP is seeking a Site Systems Specialist to support safe and efficient operations at Peak Downs Mine on a Monday to Friday roster. Reporting to the Superintendent Site Systems, you will develop SHMS requirements, provide technical support for Mine Record and Document Management, and deliver training programs.

The role emphasizes collaboration, knowledge sharing and building confidence in our systems while aligning with Global Standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Document Management Processes
• Experience in Risk Management and governance of Safety Health Management Systems
• Understanding of Queensland Coal Mining Safety and Health Act, Regulations and standards
• Ability to balance business needs with practical solutions
• Strong Microsoft Office skills with high attention to detail
• Good organisational skills to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills for engagement at all levels
• Ability to analyse data and conduct audits
• Confidence with public speaking and facilitation

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and govern requirements for the sites Safety and Health Management System (SHMS).
• Provide technical support in Mine Record and Document Management systems.
• Facilitate Risk Assessments and support SHMS documents.
• Assist Risk and Control Owners to align with Global Standards.
• Design, deliver and evaluate training programs using various instructional techniques.
• Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
