Job summary

Whitehaven Coal invites applications for a Superintendent Site Systems to oversee the Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) across a Queensland site. This 12-month fixed-term role focuses on coordinating, governing, and improving compliance activities and SHMS processes.

You will lead audits, engage stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement across site systems. The role requires experience in mining operations, strong data management capabilities, and knowledge of Queensland Coal

Qualifications

• Proven track record in auditing and compliance within heavy industry.
• Strong ability to engage with stakeholders at all organisational levels.
• Experience coordinating compliance programs and assurance activities.
• Record-keeping with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead audits and compliance activities to ensure SHMS adherence and effectiveness.
• Promote a culture of compliance across the site and with external stakeholders.
• Coordinate the assurance schedule across site and monitor activities.
• Provide technical support for SHMS access systems used by Coal Mine Workers.
• Identify gaps, drive change, and embed new systems for continuous improvement.
