Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Agricultural/Biological Systems Engineering, or Food Science (recently completed).
• Fluency in French and English (verbal and written).
• Demonstrated self-starter with initiative and accountability.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Strong leadership and motivational abilities.
• Continuous improvement mindset and results‑driven attitude.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental responsibility.
• Willingness to occasionally work off‑shifts to meet operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise operations and employees in a manufacturing environment.
• Perform the duties of department superintendents as needed.
• Provide leadership in safety, quality, and production.
• Develop and submit budgets for capital projects.
• Monitor inventory, production levels, and shift performance.
• Use problem‑solving techniques to resolve process upsets.
• Apply best manufacturing practices to improve yield and efficiency.
• Direct and oversee engineering projects and collaborate on design improvements.
• Determine equipment requirements and costs for plant expansions.
• Work cross‑functionally with vendors, contractors, maintenance, and consultants.
• Maintain operational records, monitor performance, and ensure efficient production.
