Job summary

The University of Western Australia is seeking a Manager, Business Development (0.6 FTE) for a 2-year fixed-term appointment in Western Australia. The role will lead Hypatia, a Wellcome Trust funded platform for computational phenotyping, and will define the business structure post-project.

You will plan and manage administrative and financial activities, develop a compelling value proposition, and build a sustainable model to carry Hypatia beyond the project.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency related to business development, management, and/or financial accounting.
• Extensive management experience at a senior level with autonomous work to achieve team goals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email; AI co-pilot prompting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate a value proposition for Hypatia.
• Plan, implement and manage administrative functions including personnel and financial management.
• Plan and manage a strong business model for Hypatia after project conclusion.
