Job summary

The University of Western Australia (UWA) is seeking a Business Development Coordinator to drive funding and partnership strategies for its world-class research infrastructure portfolio. This full-time, fixed-term role operates within the Office of Research and collaborates with academia, industry, and government partners to identify and progress opportunities.

You will coordinate strategic funding programs, provide analysis to inform decisions, and help sustain long-term research infrastructure

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency in business development.
• Demonstrated experience in cultivating productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including academic and professional staff, as well as industry and government representatives.
• Demonstrated experience in providing successful service-oriented administration of complex funding programs or development initiatives.
• Demonstrated understanding of how research is conducted within a university environment, including knowledge of appropriate funding opportunities.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to analyse challenges, identify solutions, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the development and implementation of funding and partnership strategies that enhance the visibility, utilisation, and long-term sustainability of UWA’s research infrastructure portfolio.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with academic and professional staff, as well as industry government, and other partners to identify, scope, and progress collaborative opportunities.
• Provide strategic analysis and advice to inform decision-making and support continuous improvement across the research infrastructure portfolio.
