Job summary

Narrabeen Family Medical Practice on the Northern Beaches is seeking a confident, well-organised receptionist to join our busy team. The role offers part-time or casual work, 3 to 4 days, with rosters including early mornings and occasional Saturday mornings on a rotating basis.

You will report to the practice manager and principal, and contribute to a friendly, patient-centered environment. Candidates should have 1–2 years’ experience in General Practice, strong computer skills, and familiarity

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in General Practice and practice management software (Best Practice).
• Ability to work in a very fast paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Empathetic patient-focused approach.
• Work co-operatively and prioritise tasks.
• Experience with Medicare billing and claims processing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Must have permanent Australian work rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide reception and administrative support.
• Assist the practice manager and principal.
• Process Medicare billing and claims.
• Maintain accurate patient records and scheduling.
• Greet patients and manage phone/enquiries.
