Job summary

The Glen Medical Hub in Melbourne is seeking a receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients, GPs and specialists. You will manage front-of-house operations on-site with on-going guidance from the Operations Manager and a clear path to senior responsibilities as the Hub expands.

This full-time role involves rostering, stock coordination, accreditation support, and efficient desk management in a brand-new state-of-the-art facility.

Qualifications

• Experience with Best Practice or GP clinic preferred; training provided.
• Excellent communication and calm phone manner.
• Reliable, punctual, with ambition to grow into senior role.
• Able to work independently on-site while staying in contact with Operations Manager.
• Strong written communication and discretion with patient information.
• Warm, respectful presence with patients.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage the waiting room.
• Book, confirm and reschedule appointments in Best Practice.
• Answer phones and handle general enquiries.
• Enter and process billings, including Medicare and private payments.
• Coordinate with referring GPs on referrals.
• Prepare consulting rooms and maintain stock.
• Handle pathology results, recall letters and referrals as directed.
• Filing and scanning.
• Report daily issues to the Operations Manager.
• Open and close the practice, tidy and perform equipment checks.
