• Previous general practice medical reception experience (preferred).
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical software.
• A genuine commitment to patient safety and quality care.
• A professional standard of personal presentation.
• The ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Flexibility for weekend and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and visitors warmly, in person and by phone, and making them feel at ease.
• Managing appointment bookings, recalls and reminders for our doctors and allied health team.
• Checking patients in and out, and maintaining accurate patient records in our practice software.
• Handling billing, payments, Medicare claiming and account enquiries.
• Responding to patient enquiries and directing urgent or clinical matters to the right team member promptly.
• Maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality in line with practice policies and privacy legislation.
• Keeping the front desk and waiting area tidy, welcoming and well organised.
• Supporting the wider team with general administrative duties as needed.
