Job summary

The X-Ray Group in Yarrawonga is seeking a part-time Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team at the Yarrawonga site. You will greet patients, answer calls, and book appointments while guiding patients on preparation and costs. You will coordinate with radiology colleagues to support efficient patient flow.

Ideal candidates have medical receptionist experience, strong communication, and a solid understanding of medical imaging terminology. A flexible, team-oriented approach is essential.

• Previous medical receptionist experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to show patients care, compassion and empathy.
• Detailed understanding of medical imaging terminology.
• Excellent time management to prioritise tasks.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
• Excellent keyboard skills for data entry into RIS system.
• EFTPOS and cash handling skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• The flexibility to work between sites desirable.

Responsibilities

• Represent the X-Ray Group as the first impression of the practice at the front desk.
• Answer the telephone and respond to patient enquiries in an efficient and sensitive manner
• Make patient bookings while maximising appointment slots
• Informing patients of relevant preparation, costing estimates, and requirement to present relevant concession cards.
• Actioning patient referrals as part of a multi-disciplinary team comprising fellow Receptionists, Booking Centre Agents, Radiologists, Radiographers, Sonographers and Nuclear Medicine Technologists.

The X-Ray Group as part of the IDX group it is a key well-established leading diagnostic imaging provider in the Albury/Wodonga region offering comprehensives services with fully licenced MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Interventional Radiology to Ultrasound and X-ray.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Working as part of a team and being the face of our organisation, we are seeking a part time Medical Receptionist to work at our Yarrawonga site and join our fun and supportive team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Representing X-Ray Group as the first impression of the practice as you meet and greet patients at the front desk.
