Job summary

Integral Diagnostics Limited is seeking a part-time Medical Receptionist for our Yarrawonga site. You will greet patients, answer calls, manage bookings, and coordinate referrals with Radiology and support staff. This role supports a collaborative multi-site team across the IDX Group.

The position offers in-house training, uniform provided, and opportunities to expand medical terminology knowledge while delivering compassionate patient care in a regional setting.

Qualifications

• Previous medical receptionist experience required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to provide patient care.
• Understanding of medical imaging terminology.
• Ability to manage time and prioritise tasks.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Strong data entry skills for RIS systems.
• EFTPOS and cash handling experience.
• Willingness to train and develop professionally.

Responsibilities

• Represent the first impression of the practice at the front desk.
• Answer telephone and respond to patient enquiries.
• Make patient bookings and maximise appointment slots.
• Inform patients of preparation, costs, and concession card requirements.
• Process patient referrals within a multi-disciplinary team.

The X-Ray Group as part of the IDX group it is a key well-established leading diagnostic imaging provider in the Albury/Wodonga region offering comprehensives services with fully licenced MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Interventional Radiology to Ultrasound and X-ray.

With 5 sites - Albury, Wodonga, Lavington, Wangaratta and Yarrawonga, situated on the Murray River border of NSW and Victoria, and perfectly located between Melbourne and Sydney.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Working as part of a team and being the face of our organisation, we are seeking a part time Medical Receptionist to work at our Yarrawonga site and join our fun and supportive team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Representing X-Ray Group as the first impression of the practice as you meet and greet patients at the front desk.
• Answering the telephone and respond to patient enquiries in an efficient and sensitive manner
• Make a patient bookings while maximising appointment slots
• Informing patients of relevant preparation, costing estimates, and requirement to present relevant concession cards.
• Actioning patient referrals as part of a multi-disciplinary team comprising of fellow Receptionists, Booking Centre Agents, Radiologists, Radiographers, Sonographers and Nuclear Medicine Technologists.

ABOUT YOU

• Previous medical receptionist experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills in order to show patients care, compassion and empathy
• Detailed understanding of medical imaging terminology
• Excellent time management skills in order to prioritise tasks
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
• Excellent keyboard skills for data entry into RIS system
• EFTPOS and cash handling skills
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
• The flexibility to work between sites desirable
