Integral Diagnostics (IDX) Yarrawonga site is seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist to join a friendly, supportive team. You will greet patients, answer calls, manage bookings, and coordinate referrals across a multi-disciplinary imaging team.

The role emphasizes excellent communication, empathy, and data entry into the RIS system, with in-house training and opportunities to develop in a growing regional practice.

Qualifications

• Previous medical receptionist experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical imaging terminology.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Strong data entry skills in RIS system and EFTPOS/cash handling.

Responsibilities

• First impression of the practice; meet and greet patients at the front desk.
• Answer telephone and respond to patient enquiries.
• Make patient bookings and maximise appointment slots.
• Inform patients of preparation, costs and concession card requirements.
• Process referrals within a multidisciplinary team.

About The Role

Working as part of a team and being the face of our organisation, we are seeking a full time Medical Receptionist to work at our Yarrawonga site and join our fun and supportive team.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Representing X-Ray Group as the first impression of the practice as you meet and greet patients at the front desk.
• Answering the telephone and respond to patient enquiries in an efficient and sensitive manner
• Make a patient bookings while maximising appointment slots
• Informing patients of relevant preparation, costing estimates, and requirement to present relevant concession cards.
• Actioning patient referrals as part of a multi-disciplinary team comprising of fellow Receptionists, Booking Centre Agents, Radiologists, Radiographers, Sonographers and Nuclear Medicine Technologists.

About You

• Previous medical receptionist experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills in order to show patients care, compassion and empathy
• Detailed understanding of medical imaging terminology
• Excellent time management skills in order to prioritise tasks
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
• Excellent keyboard skills for data entry into RIS system
• EFTPOS and cash handling skills
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
• The flexibility to work between sites desirable
