Job summary

FMS Group in Mackay region seeks an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to lead mechanical shutdown crews across Bowen Basin mine sites. You will coordinate 15+ personnel, ensuring safe, efficient work and on-time delivery.

This hands-on leadership role requires a trade-qualified fitter, strong communication, and the ability to work with site management and project teams on draglines, shovels, and fixed plant assets.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Mechanical Fitter or equivalent.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with safety focus.
• Ability to coordinate multiple shutdown crews and projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical shutdown crews of 15+ personnel across Bowen Basin sites.
• Lead maintenance shutdowns and project works on draglines, shovels and fixed plants.
• Monitor productivity and quality, ensure compliance with procedures.
• Identify risks and resolve issues to maintain on-time delivery.
• Promote a safety culture and safe work practices.
