Job summary

Dematic Tamworth, NSW, is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to keep critical automated systems in peak condition across electrical and mechanical equipment in a cold storage environment.

You will perform preventative and reactive maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and own your work with hands-on problem solving in a safety-first team. The role is based on-site in a fresh, brand-new customer site and offers opportunities for growth and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Australian Trade Qualification – Certificate III Electrotechnology Electrician
• Unrestricted Electrical Licence (Australia)
• Solid mechanical aptitude with previous maintenance experience
• Strong communication skills with customers and internal stakeholders
• Experience with hydraulic/pneumatic systems, automation, or MEX CMMS is a plus – but not essential (we’ll train you)
• A technician who can think on their feet, enjoy problem solving, working with your hands and take ownership of your work

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot faults to restore peak performance.
• Operate in a cold storage environment (0–4 degrees) and ensure safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team to uphold reliability and uptime of automated systems.
