Job summary

Dematic, a global leader in automation and robotics, is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for our brand-new customer site in Tamworth, NSW. You will maintain critical automated systems across electrical and mechanical equipment in a cold storage environment.

Join a safety‑driven team with a rotating 24/5 roster and opportunities for career development, training, and company benefits. You will work with hydraulic/pneumatic systems and use MEX CMMS to drive uptime.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Electrical Licence (Australia).
• Solid mechanical aptitude with maintenance experience.
• Strong communication skills with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience with hydraulic/pneumatic systems, automation, or MEX CMMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot faults and maintain peak system performance.
• Work in a cold storage facility environment (0–4 degrees) and support safety standards.

• Alternate 1 week days / 1 week afternoon / 1 week nights

What We're Looking For:

• Unrestricted Electrical Licence (Australia)
• Someone who has no issues in working in a cool room / freezer environment
• Solid mechanical aptitude with previous maintenance experience
• Strong communication skills with customers and internal stakeholders
• Experience with hydraulic/pneumatic systems, automation, or MEX CMMS is a plus - but not essential (we'll train you)
• A technician who can think on their feet, enjoy problem solving, working with your hands and take ownership of your work
