Thiess is seeking a Maintenance Leading Hand for the Eva Copper Mine Project in the Cloncurry region of North West Queensland, Australia. You will lead a high-performing mobile maintenance team, supporting safe, efficient production across the fleet and stepping into supervisor duties when required.

The role offers a permanent full-time contract with a balanced 2:2 roster, ongoing training, and opportunities to advance within a major greenfield mining operation.

Qualifikationen

• Cert III in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent.
• Current G1, G8, G9 (formerly S1,2,3) & RIIRIS402EG2.
• Proven mining experience with exposure to leading or supervising mobile maintenance HD Fitters.
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Always uphold health and safety.

Aufgaben

• Lead and support a skilled mobile maintenance team in line with Supervisor and Superintendent direction.
• Step into Maintenance Supervisor duties when required.
• Perform servicing, repairs and maintenance in accordance with Thiess maintenance and lubrication standards.
• Source technical information from manuals, technical bulletins and computer-based systems.
• Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance and operations personnel.
• Identify and requisition parts and equipment using the correct ordering processes.
• Verify repairs and solutions, ensuring non-conforming equipment is controlled until issues are fully resolved.

Working in a strategic Alliance with Thiess and Harmony, you will form part of a collaborative team, driven by shared objectives and values to deliver operational excellence at the Eva Copper Mine Project.

The Eva Copper Mine Project is located on the traditional lands of the Kalkadoon People in North West Queensland, approximately 75 km north-west of Cloncurry and about 95 km north-east of Mount Isa.

The Project is an iron-oxide copper-gold resource featuring multiple open pits and is poised to become the largest greenfield copper mine in Queensland.

As a key member of the Eva Copper Alliance team, you'll be responsible for supporting safe, efficient production across our fleet while working with a high-performing maintenance team.
