Job summary

Cimic is seeking an experienced Auto Electrician for the Eva Copper Mine Project in North West Queensland. You will support safe, efficient production with a high-performing maintenance team on a major mining operation.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have a current drivers licence.
• Post-trade experience in a mining environment is required.
• Experience in maintenance, breakdowns, and servicing of heavy earthmoving equipment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform servicing, repair and maintenance of mobile mining equipment per Thiess procedures.
• Complete inspections, breakdowns, services and component change outs to high standards.
• Conduct inspections to maximise equipment utilisation and reliability.
• Install and test equipment including mountings and wiring with quality workmanship.

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced and motivated Auto Electrician with a passion for adventure? Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated Auto Electricians to join our high-performing team at the Eva Copper Mine Project, in the Cloncurry region of Queensland, Australia.

As a key member of the Eva Copper Alliance team, you’ll be responsible for supporting safe, efficient production across our fleet while working with a high-performing maintenance team.

Roster: 2:2 Dayshift only| Location: Eva Copper | Employment Type: Fulltime

As the Auto Electrician, you will:

• Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of mobile mining equipment in accordance with Thiess servicing and maintenance procedures
• Complete general maintenance, breakdowns, services, and component change outs to a high regard
• Conduct required inspections to maximise equipment utilisation
• Provide high-quality installations including mountings, wiring and testing of equipment

About you

To be successful in this role, you are required to have:

• Current Drivers Licence
• Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent
• Refrigerated handling license advantageous
• Post-trade experience working in the mining environment
• Experience in General Maintenance, Breakdowns, Component Change Outs and Servicing of Heavy Earth Moving Equipment
• Have a good work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement, be able to work as an individual within the maintenance team
