Job summary

The Eva Copper Mine Project in North West Queensland seeks an experienced Maintenance Leading Hands to support a safe, efficient production fleet. You will lead a mobile maintenance team and cover duties in Supervisors' absence, ensuring maintenance standards and documentation are followed across Thiess systems.

Qualifications

• Cert III in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent.
• Current G1, G8, G9 (formally S1,2,3) & RIIRIS402E G2.
• Proven mining experience with exposure to leading or supervising mobile maintenance HD Fitters.
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• You will also need to always possess health and safety awareness and practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead a skilled mobile maintenance team following Supervisors' and Superintendents' directives.
• Fulfil the Maintenance Supervisors' duties in their absence.
• Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of equipment as directed in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication, and maintenance systems documentation.
• Source technical information from manuals, bulletins and computer systems.
• Provide technical information to staff and operations personnel.
• Source and requisition parts and/or equipment through the correct ordering procedure.
• Verify the implementation of solutions and/or address non-conforming machinery until resolution.

Are you an experienced and motivated Maintenance Leading Hands with a passion for adventure? Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated Maintenance Leading Hands to join our high-performing team at the Eva Copper Mine Project, in the Cloncurry region of Queensland, Australia.

As a key member of the Eva Copper Alliance team, you'll be responsible for supporting safe, efficient production across our fleet while working with a high-performing maintenance team.

Roster: 2:2 | Location: Eva Copper | Employment Type: Fulltime

As the Maintenance Leading Hands, you will:

• Lead a skilled mobile maintenance team following Supervisors' and Superintendents' directives
• Fulfil the Maintenance Supervisors' duties in their absence
• Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of equipment as directed in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication, and maintenance systems documentation
• Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, and computer-based systems
• Provide technical information to staff and operations personnel
• Source and requisition parts and/or equipment requirements through the appropriate manuals or publications using the correct ordering procedure
• Verify the implementation of solutions and/or control further non-conforming machinery until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected
