Live North West QLD is seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter for the Eva Copper Mine Alliance in the Cloncurry region, Queensland. You will support safe, efficient production across our fleet while working with a high-performing maintenance team.

The role offers permanent full-time employment with a 2:2 roster and FIFO options from Townsville or Brisbane, plus ongoing training and a strong safety culture. This position is based on site with Thiess managing recruitment.

Qualifications

• Current Drivers Licence.
• Valid Trade Certificate in Diesel Fitting or equivalent.
• Post-trade experience in the mining environment.
• Experience in General Maintenance, Breakdowns, Component Change Outs and Servicing of Heavy Earth Moving Equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and comply with the Site Safety Health and Management System.
• Maintain, repair and service on a variety of mobile plant equipment safely and efficiently in line with Thiess and Industry standards.
• Excellent diagnostic, fault finding, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills.
• Be highly motivated and committed to deliver quality results.
• Follow work instructions and complete all paperwork to a high standard.
• Ensure good housekeeping standards are always maintained ensuring a safe work environment.

The Project is aniron-oxide copper-gold resource featuring multiple open pits and is poised to become the largest greenfield copper mine in Queensland.
