Job summary

The Ritz-Carlton in Melbourne is seeking a Porter & Valet to deliver exceptional guest service from arrival to departure, park guest vehicles, deliver bags, and support the Front Office team in a luxury hotel environment.

You will welcome guests, share local recommendations for Melbourne, build lasting guest relationships, and take pride in maintaining the hotel’s legendary standards while adhering to Australian working rights requirements.

Qualifications

• Hold a current and valid driver’s license with the ability to operate both manual and automatic vehicles.
• Have experience in a similar role, preferably within a luxury environment.
• Must have working rights in Australia to be considered for the role

Responsibilities

• Securely park guest vehicles, deliver bags, and manage amenities according to hotel policies.
• Assist the Front Office team with general operational tasks to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Welcome guests to their rooms, explaining all features and hotel offerings.
• Be knowledgeable about the hotel and the surrounding area, providing expert recommendations to exceed guest expectations.
• Strengthen relationships with both existing and new guests, delivering our legendary service and facilitating future bookings.
• Advise on local Melbourne activities, tag and deliver luggage to guest rooms, handle mail and parcels for guests and the hotel.
