Talenza, a leading high-frequency trading firm in Sydney CBD, is seeking an FPGA Engineer for a permanent role. You will work at the intersection of hardware, software and trading to build FPGA-based solutions used in market connectivity and execution platforms.

The role emphasizes nanosecond-level performance, latency optimisation, and collaboration with traders and developers to translate trading requirements into efficient hardware. Candidates will explore new FPGA technologies.

Qualifications

• Experience designing FPGA or ASIC using VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Strong digital design skills incl. pipelining, timing, CDC.
• Low-latency, high-throughput hardware-software integration experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement FPGA solutions for market data and trade systems.
• Collaborate with traders and developers to translate requirements into hardware.
• Improve performance via profiling, latency analysis, and optimisations.
• Build testing, simulation, and validation frameworks for production reliability.
• Explore new FPGA/hardware technologies to maintain competitive edge.
