Job summary

ASX Limited is expanding its Futures Trading Technology team to build and support critical market infrastructure for the ASX 24 Futures Exchange. The role covers Linux-based trading software, automation tooling, and incident response within on-prem and cloud environments.

You will collaborate across vendor and in-house solutions, apply best practices in data engineering, and participate in non-functional testing while contributing to a high-performance, secure trading platform.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineering in low-latency electronic trading environments.
• Experience supporting complex trading systems on Linux.
• Scripting in Shell/Python/Perl.
• Strong networking fundamentals and troubleshooting.
• Relational databases knowledge.
• Experience with Public/Private Cloud environments and virtualization concepts.
• Familiarity with data warehouses and data lakes.
• Experience with packet capture tooling.

Responsibilities

• Build and support critical markets infrastructure for ASX 24 Futures Exchange.
• Support vendor and in-house trading software in Linux environments; perform build activities and provide L3 support during incidents.
• Develop automation tooling using Shell, Python, or Perl.
• Troubleshoot server, network, or database issues.
• Contribute to data engineering practices and standards adoption.
• Perform non-functional testing in QA environments.
• Work in both On-Premises and Cloud environments.
